Suse Wicks - Director Wavus Camp for Girls
Suse brings a wealth of demonstrated experience based on her knowledge of children and families having owned and directed her own school for 15 years. She joined the Wavus staff as Camp Director in 2001. Suse is an avid naturalist, registered Maine Guide, Storyteller and avid plantsman. Her enthusiastic love for learning and the outdoors make her a natural fit for the camping world. She is living a dream with the success of the Wavus Camp for Girls!

Carolyne Doubman - Co-Director
Carolyne is a teacher and coach at Episcopal Academy, in Merion, PA. During the school year she lives in Philadelphia with her dog, Scout, who can't wait to learn to swim this summer at Wavus. Carolyne has a Bachelor's degree from the University of Richmond and a Master's in Education from the University of Pennsylvania. She spent every summer of her youth at a girls' camp in Maine. In fact, many of her closest friends are "camp friends;" and though she loves her 3 brothers and her parents, the saddest days she can remember as a child were spent driving home to Pennsylvania after camp was over each summer. Carolyne's favorite thing to do is laugh... but a good golf shot takes a close second. She looks forward to learning the ways of Wavus this summer.

Tookie Bright - Junior Wavus Director
My name is Caroline "Tookie" Bright, and this is my second year with Wavus. I am a graduate of the University of New England and received a degree in Psychology with a minor in Medical Biology. I have previously worked the past two years as a social worker in Portland, Maine and enjoyed last winter at Sugarloaf USA teaching snowboarding. This will be my fourth summer as a camp counselor and I'm looking forward to everything from sailing around Damariscotta Lake to art projects of all kinds! I love photography and I also enjoy playing lacrosse and field hockey. Can't wait to see you soon!

Lindsay Anderson - Wilderness Tripping Director
Lindsay is very excited to join the Wavus community this summer. She recently found her passion teaching science and coaching at Moses Brown School in Providence after working as a geologist. She has spent many days in Northern New England backpacking, kayaking, and swimming during summers growing up and during college, and she believes that wilderness trips are a perfect way for girls to gain confidence in a new community and place. She is excited to finally combine her love of kids and the outdoors and is looking forward to living on a lake in Maine again and to see you this summer!

Jean Vose - Administrative Assistant
Jean joined us in April 2006 and brings tremendous administrative skills and a natural camp spirit. Jean has an extensive background in medical and educational offices and is also a Registered Nurse. She is a Master Gardener, certified horticulturist and beekeeper. Jean and husband Dick live in Nobleboro and have 9 grand children.

Roberta Bresler-Sullivan - Camp Nurse

Meg Burns - Nurse
I am a graduate of Catholic University, Castleton College and am one class away from my Masters. I grew up in Long Island, NY, and moved to Vermont 15 years ago. I have been a high school nurse in Manchester, VT for 12 years. I absolutely love working with the high school population. During the summers I have a healthy mix of work and play including camp nursing stints, running, biking, hiking, gardening and travel. This will be my first year at Wavus and it can’t come soon enough! I have heard about the camp for a few year and am thrilled to be a part of the team this summer!

Henry R. Kennedy - Executive Director
Henry has been at Kieve his whole life. He was a Kieve camper from 1967 through 1972 and a counselor from 1973-1980. Over the years, it is fair to say, Henry has been on every one of Kieve's trips. Henry is a graduate of Colby College and is the executive director of Kieve-Wavus Education, Inc. Henry oversees the entire Kieve operation but lives for the summer to be out in the Maine wilderness with the campers and counselors alike. He lives in Cumberland, Maine during the school year and the Red Farm House during the summer months with his wife B.J., daughter Blair, and son Sam.

Scott Henry – Assistant Head, Physical Plant Department
Scott has been working for Kieve for more than eight years. He graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in forestry. At Kieve Scott’s primary responsibility is to assist Dean in insuring that the physical plant is maintained and improved. In his limited off time Scott enjoys hunting and fishing, both locally and in Canada. He is married and has one son, John and a daughter, Josie. Most of his time is at the new Wavus Camp for Girls.

Mike Requa - Bremen Facilities Manager & Snowgoose III Captain
Mike Requa - is the Captain of the Snowgoose III and Bremen Facilities manager. Capt. Mike has been on or around boats in the midcoast Maine area since early childhood. Mike has worked in the marine industry for 30 years and brings with him extensive experience in both captaining and mechanical services. In addition, Mike is certified in CPR and has had emergency medical training from being on the ski patrol at Saddleback Mountain for 15 years.

Russ Williams - Development & Communications Director
In addition to being the Development Director, Russ coordinates all the the program brochures, newsletters and website updates. For Girls Camp specifically, he oversees the design and implementation of the "Camper Connection", a very popular website function, updated daily during camp and that allows parents to view thousands of camper pictures all year round. Russ is also the 9/11 Family Camp Director.
