Wilderness Tripping Program Description

The Long Voyage – Baxter State Park

This adventuresome trip in Maine's North Country begins after just several days in camp. The first day consists of a guided white water rafting trip on the Kennebec River. Kieve Voyagers then spend the next two and a half weeks canoeing wilderness lakes and rivers, fishing for bass, pickerel and trout, and climbing peaks in and adjacent to Baxter State Park. Voyagers also engage in community service projects to improve Kieve and the State of Maine.
