| Day 1 |
Arrival in Denver, Colorado, orientation, packing. |
| Day 2-3 |
Wilderness First Aid certification
by the Wilderness Medical Institute |
| Day 4-6 |
Alpine rock climbing or start backcountry hike (see below) depending on your group. Rock climbers will spend three days learning the basics of technical rock climbing. Students will top rope single pitch and multi-pitch climbs of various difficulties. Whether it is getting over a fear of heights or topping out on a 300-foot climb, climbing will challenge every student. |
| Day 7-23 |
Backpacking throughout Colorado’s San Juans or Sawatch. We will be traveling both on and off trail, camping between 8,000 and 12,000 feet above sea level, and fl y fishing in remote areas. There will be daily classes on mountain travel, group dynamics, and Leave No Trace ethics. Students can expect full and challenging days with a great amount of personal responsibility. | Day 24 |
White water rafting or tubing. We will spend our last day rafting or tubing one of Colorado’s Rivers. This culmination to the trip will offer a great chance for the group to relax and reflect on what they have learned over the past 23 days. |

Travel home from Denver, Colorado. |
