The Need for Forever Kieve Campaign
On May 1st, 2004, the Kieve Trustees passed the
following historic resolution: The Board of trustees authorizes
Kieve management to raise $8 million, $7M to complete the campus
masterplan as adopted by the Board and $1M for the Annual Fund over
the 3-year campaign term. This campaign will provide the funding
for a campus masterplan that will support the current and future
needs of Kieve's outstanding programs.
The campaign recently received a $700,000 challenge
grant from The Kresge Foundation. The campaign exceeded its $8 million goal and the final numbers will be announced soon.

Enhance current programs, increase income with growth of year-round programs,
and reduce maintenance expense and energy costs. |

Eliminate buildings that cannot be upgraded and replace them with new, well-ventilated,
insulated and heated structures that are resource efficient, environmentally
sensitive, and meet all safety codes for Kieve’s year-round programs. |

Return the campus to its peaceful natural beauty by relocating roadways, parking
and walking paths, and upgrade infrastructure systems for energy efficiency,
erosion control, and health standards. |

Pass on to the next generation a facility free from the burden of long-deferred
maintenance, restored to its natural beauty, and with its glorious site forever
protected. |
